LSA Family Health Service

Bringing wellness home

Our Story

LSA Family Health Service builds health and well-being in families in East Harlem and surrounding neighborhoods. We offer a broad range of integrated health care, social service, education, early childhood, food pantry and crisis counseling services to thousands of families in New York City.

LSA empowers families facing poverty, food insecurity, homelessness, illness, and isolation. Our programs create stable supportive homes that nurture the best in children and help them reach their full potential.

LSA Family Health Service, founded by the Little Sisters of the Assumption in 1958, strengthens and empowers families and children by meeting their basic needs for food, healthcare, education, and a safe home, in the belief that affirming families in their own dignity improves the entire community.
