Care Before the Campus

Our Story

Providing low-cost spay neuter for families with pets who meet the income guidelines. Diligently working to reduce pet overpopulation in our community. Providing spay neuter services is 'Care Before the Campus' for future growth.

our clients include: Rescue groups; Senior citizens, Veterans, Disabled, and the Homeless with pets. A free pet pantry and pet boutique with new and gently used items at low cost is available. Offering pet grooming, vaccinations, microchip servies at low cost. We host 8-10 fundraisers annually to support the NAWS Spay Neuter Clinic, all with volunteers. The clinic is staffed with 80% volunteers, two paid part-time veterinarians and three vet techs.

A coalition for Clay and Platte counties dedicated t educate citizens regarding the humane treatment of animals. NAWS works to create awareness regarding the need to reduce the number of homeless animals and to build a care and adoption campus so that every animal may live in a safe and caring enviornment.
