"Achieving Goals, Enhancing Lives, Healing through Horses"
Promise Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Franktown, CO, that offers equine assisted activities and therapies for individuals with disabilities and other therapeutic needs. Promise Ranch is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) Intl. Member Center and an American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) Facility Member. Our philosophy is to empower individuals with disabilities. We strive to promote independence and a ‘can do’ attitude among our participants, and we always encourage them to surpass goals and exceed expectations.
At Promise Ranch, we primarily offer adaptive/therapeutic riding lessons as well as hippotherapy treatment sessions. No matter the program, our riders benefit in many different ways, from improving core strength, balance, and postural control, to developing communication and social skills. Being able to partner with a horse on the ground or under saddle also gives our participants a sense of confidence, self-esteem, and self-awareness. No matter the discipline our participants choose, they reap physical, cognitive, emotional, social, sensory, and communication benefits.
Our mission is to help our clients minimize disability and maximize ability through the provision of safe, high quality, and effective equine assisted activities and therapies.
We primarily serve the following counties: Douglas, Arapahoe, Jefferson, Elbert, and Adams.
