Incorporated in 2012, Solar For All works with multiple affordable housing providers in Portland and Medford, Oregon to install solar electric systems on the homes they provide for low income families. Each system saves the home owners ~$500/yr on their electric bills enabling them to buy food and clothes, fund education and/or retirement goals.
All the panels we purchase are manufactured by SolarWorld in Hillsboro, Oregon and installed by local solar installers, supporting Oregon's family wage, renewable energy economy.
We completed our first project with Community Vision (cvision.org) in Portland in March of 2015. By the end of December we installed systems on 6 additional homes: two in Medford on Rouge Valley Habitat for Humanity homes, and four in Portland for Community Vision, and Proud Ground homes!
In 2016 we hope to double the number of homes. Our partners have more than enough homes ready for solar for us to accomplish that goal. We need your help to fund the purchase/installation!
Solar for All is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization funding the installation of photovoltaic solar electric systems on low-income housing projects developed by local public and private entities in the state of Oregon.
