Wind Youth Services

Help us make a positive change in the lives of the youth we serve.

Our Story

Wind Youth Services is Sacramento County’s only program serving homeless youth. Our mission is to provide supportive services and opportunities to youth experiencing homelessness as they pursue self-determined lives of stability and independence.

Through our programs and services, Wind Youth Services provides homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 12 and 24 with basic safety net and survival services and a safe place to stay. Wind Youth Services operates these critical community programs:

Street Outreach
Drop-in Center
Peer Counseling
Counseling
Youth Advocacy (Case Management)
Emergency Shelter for Youth Experiencing Homelessness
Permanent Supportive Housing Program

Wind Youth Services has the only homeless street outreach program in Sacramento. This program is designed to reach homeless youth where they are, build trusting relationships, and encourages them to access other resources and Wind’s comprehensive case management program, with an overarching goal of moving them from homelessness to a stable living situation.

Youth Advocates emphasize personal safety and crisis intervention, while working with each youth to develop a case plan. Though our Street Outreach Program, we offer homeless youth:

Shelter
Hot Meals
Transportation
Clothing Closet & Personal Hygiene packs
Case Management
Counseling
Basic Medical Care
Referrals & Connections to other resources

Wind Youth Services provides supportive services and opportunities to youth experiencing homelessness as they pursue self-determined lives of stability and independence.
