The Mission:
Listener-supported WSHU Public Radio is the unifying voice of our region—on the air, online and in the community. For more than 35 years, we have served as a trusted source of NPR and regional news that is unbiased, thorough and insightful. Our classical music and storytelling programs offer inspiration and companionship for listeners throughout Connecticut and on Long Island, NY.
About the Organization:
WSHU Public Radio engages the community by:
• Delivering content that educates across the full spectrum of news, culture and classical music
• Connecting differing and sometimes challenging perspectives through well-researched content that allows individuals to draw their own conclusions
• Fostering constructive dialogue to inspire and empower our listeners and the general public
• Serving as companion and touchstone every day, and a source of support during extraordinary events
