My Appeal
I am now in my fifth year at Life Challenge of Detroit. This has been the most rewarding experience of my life, and we are impacting lives every day that we are here. Unfortunately, COVID19 has impacted our fundraising efforts, and our annual gala banquet, as well as our church fundraising rallies, have all been cancelled. We are therefore relying on this online tool to raise funds. I am seeking partners who will pledge to support me, as I attempt to complete 50 miles for this cause. Please prayerfully consider joining me in this wonderful endeavor. Thanks, and God Bless You.
My Progress
Douglas is walking 100 miles and raising funds for Life Challenge Ministries. Please show your support and donate generously.

My Cause
The Mission: Restoring communities by bringing faith-based recovery to the addicted.
About the Organization: Adult & Teen Challenge/Life Challenge Ministries is a 501(c)3 non-profit, faith-based residential recovery program for men and women with drug, alcohol, and other life-controlling addictions. ATC/LCM offers up to one year of recovery services and has been serving the metro Detroit and southeast Michigan community for 56 years, with a campus in Flint. We endeavor to help broken people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well and spiritually alive, returning to their families and communities as productive members of society.

As a faith-based, 501(c)3 organization, we receive no federal or state funding. We rely solely on the support of people and businesses that believe in our mission. We are committed to providing affordable, accessible help, with no waiting list and no medical insurance required. With an operating budget of over $1 million, and an approximate $12,000 per-resident cost, we require only a one-time, nominal induction fee of $700.

The ATC/LCM program offers a safe, highly-structured environment, and our trained, caring staff is committed to a positive, productive experience, with strong emphasis on personal recovery and growth. We serve men and women 18 years and older from all socioeconomic strata : urban/suburban/rural, homeless, unemployed, single mothers, judicial and corrections systems referrals, alternative-to-incarceration entries, those with maxxed out medicaid/medicare benefits, short-term rehabilitation clients, clergy and family referrals.
