Foundations of Life Pregnancy Center – Hernando, Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Knights Women’s Center, Project Rachel, and Perinatal ComfortCare served over 2,400 women and families experiencing the difficulties of pregnancy with almost 8,000 visits to our centers last year. Clients were provided free pregnancy tests, ultrasound, mentoring, pregnancy & parenting education, as well as baby and maternity supplies. The Foundations of Life Walk/Run for Life 2020 will benefit these centers and provide much-needed funds to continue to serve women and babies needing assistance.
Foundations of Life is not a Handout, it’s a Hand Up! Our objective is to promote a healthy pregnancy and to educate, empower and support families on the road to self-sufficiency. Services include: Pregnancy Tests, Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound, Birth Options Counseling and Information, Maternity and Infant Supplies, Earn While You Learn Pregnancy and Parenting Education Incentive Program, Women to Women Mentoring, and Sexual Integrity Counseling. Health and Smoking Cessation Information, Well Women Exam Referrals plus Medical, Social, and Community Resource Information and Referrals are provided to meet client specific needs. Adoption Information and Counseling, Post Abortion Healing, and support to families receiving poor prenatal diagnosis are also provided.

My Cause
The Mission: Foundations of Life Pregnancy Center values all human life, creates hope, and provides help to those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. It promotes the choice of life through parenting or adoption by offering free pregnancy tests, free limited ultrasound, pregnancy and parenting education and assistance, life skills development through mentoring, and linkage to other service providers. Healing for those impacted by abortion and help and hope to parents who have received a poor prenatal diagnosis are also provided.

Foundations of Life Pregnancy Center offers A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out!
The difficulties of pregnancy and parenting often put a strain on parents and families. Pregnancy Centers like Foundations of Life offer many resources that can provide help and hope from when a mom first suspects she is pregnant until her baby is one.
These centers offer free pregnancy tests, free ultrasound, and options counseling. Women who choose to parent and participate in the ongoing mentoring program will have a mentor assigned to them and receive comprehensive pregnancy and parenting education. Based on their specific needs, a plan will be developed with action items to fill those needs. Clients will also set goals for themselves and track their progress in achieving the goals. The objective is to provide a mom support and for her to work toward having a healthy baby and reaching self-sufficiency.
The pregnancy program is an Earn While You Learn format where participants will earn points for participating, achieving goals, and completing assignments. These points can be used to "purchase" items in our Baby Boutique such as diapers, wipes, baby clothes, toiletries, and supplies.
Foundations of Life has an extensive collaborative relationship with other medical, social, and community resource providers. These relationships are critical because no one organization can provide everything a client may need. Referrals will be provided to clients for other services they may need.
As an essential service, our centers have remained open throughout the COVID -19 pandemic providing help and hope to mothers and their babies. We are now seeing an increase in pregnancy tests and discussions with women who may not be thinking of motherhood. We are there standing on the frontlines for LIFE and you are standing alongside us!
