My Appeal
Hi,
My name is Greg and I'm the Superintendent Pharmacist of MWI Animal Health UK based in Stoke.
I'm taking part in supporting the "Not One More Vet" initiative as I am passionate about supporting my fellow healthcare colleagues, especially those struggling with mental health issues and depression. As a healthcare professional it's very hard to "not be OK" as it has fitness to practice implications and many simply suffer in silence until the burden becomes to great and they break. Any initiative that can support a veterinary surgeon before they reach this point has to be applauded and supported.
I'm raising funds by cycling around the lanes of Staffordshire and virtually using an online cycling platform called Zwift.

The Mission:
NOMV will transform the status of mental wellness within the profession so veterinary professionals can survive and thrive through education, resources, and support.
About the Organization:
NOMV addresses wellbeing in veterinary medicine through multiple innovative pathways including: the world’s largest veterinary peer-to-peer support group, an educational program providing leadership focused on wellness; a support grant program providing immediate financial support; an online crisis support system specifically designed for veterinary professionals; and research to further the advancement of wellness, mental health, and the reduction of suicide in veterinary professionals.
