Please virtually walk with me and help me raise money for Fairbanks Community Food Bank!
The 414 mile road from Livengood to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, carves a path across a tundra, crosses the Yukon River, climbs across the Brooks Range, and passes over the North Slope to end at the Arctic Ocean. The Dalton Highway slices through northern Alaska from Livengood to the oil fields of Prudhoe Bay. Built in 1974 as the service road for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, the highway is a significant achievement. It is a mostly gravel road which is driven fearlessly by 18-wheelers. Services are few, and signs warn of everything from steep grades to avalanches. However, the signs say little of the road's chief attribute. It contains some of North America's most dramatic scenery and curious wildlife

My Cause
The Mission: The primary purpose of the Fairbanks Community Food Bank Service, Inc. is to provide food for hungry people and to distribute surplus food that would ordinarily be discarded. All locally collected food is to be distributed without charge.
About the Organization: Each day we collect 2-5 TONS of food and distribute it to about 200 local people, plus 1/3rd of the food collected is provided to other local non-profit organizations with on-site meal programs
