About:

Chesapeake Care Clinic seeks to provide medical & dental services to low-income & underserved individuals to improve the quality of life in the community. Even with Medicaid expansion & the Affordable Care Act, there is still a massive gap in healthcare coverage in Virginia with an estimated 77,000 uninsured adults in South Hampton Roads alone.

Our clinic allows patients to receive the care they need without incurring the burden of heavy financial debt. During 2018, we provided 2,046 unduplicated patients with 6,220 patient visits. Additionally, we had 3,599 pharmacy visits where we provided 9,522 prescriptions valued at $3.1M. Our volunteers gave 24,059 hours of service valued at $734,839 (11.75FTE). For every $1 donated, Chesapeake Care Clinic is able to provide $8.61 of healthcare services because of the large number of volunteers that donate their time.
