About:

For the children of rural Mali, school is too often just a dream. The dream of education is a dream of better health, less poverty, more stability, less war. We believe every child deserves to live those dreams...do you?

Since 2004, we have partnered with the people of Mali to provide access to a quality education for more than 13,000 children. We have built 21 schools in small, rural villages in southern Mali. After we build a school, we don't walk away. We remain in partnership with the parents, elders, and children of the village to make sure good, quality education happens in the schools.

We invite you to get involved with the powerful and fun work of changing the world by changing the lives of children with the power of education! Mali is one of the poorest countries in the world, and you can make a huge difference in one child's life and in the future of the entire country.

Mission:

Mali Rising Foundation's mission is to empower the children of Mali, West Africa by improving access to and the quality of educational opportunities for them within their own communities. This mission will help achieve our vision – a fully functioning middle school within walking distance of every child in the country.
