ABOUT:
Southcoast Health is a not-for-profit, community-based health system with multiple access points, offering an integrated continuum of health services throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Our system includes three hospitals — Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River (founded in 1885), St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford (founded in 1884) and Tobey Hospital in Wareham (founded in 1938). These hospitals merged on June 9, 1996 to form Southcoast Hospitals Group and operate under a single hospital license, with a total of 815 beds. Southcoast Health now also includes Southcoast Behavioral Health in Dartmouth.

When you come to Southcoast Health, you will receive the best care, plus something more. We deliver an unmatched combination of clinical excellence with a personal touch. Our physicians come from some of the nation’s leading medical institutions. They chose Southcoast so they can bring great care to the communities they call home.
