While fundraising is a large part of this initiative, the CMSEF and CMS leaders feel it is important to provide a fun program to encourage our students to be physically active, promote online social participation, provide consistency for the students, and engage with our community. We are partnering with the Cowart Family YMCA to support our community through food donations and volunteer work as well as funding school programs at CMS and CMSEF initiatives!
How to track your steps? Below is a chart that includes the step equivalents if you are not tracking your steps utilizing a step counter, fitness devices, smart phone/app, Fitbit or Apple watch. You will be able to manually enter your participant(s) steps using these options. Don’t forget to volunteer at the YMCA to get your extra bonus of 10K steps for that day! You will enter these manually in your step count for the day.
