ABOUT RGV PRIDE VIRTUAL RUN AND FITNESS CHALLENGE CAMPAIGN
Join us for the first ever RGV Pride Virtual Run & Fitness Challenge to raise funds for the Valley AIDS Council. While the pandemic has made it difficult to gather, this virtual event allows us to come together as a community to support Valley AIDS Council during the month of Pride. HOW DOES IT WORK? Unlike a traditional race, this virtual event uses technology to allow you to participate and track your run, walk, swim, or whatever fitness exercise you choose. Participation is easy! Simply register on the site, set your own fundraising goals and mileage goals on your account and then get started! You will have until July 22nd to reach your goal. The Charity Footprints app will enable you to join teams, see your fundraising progress and to update your miles. We encourage you to reach out to your friends and family to sponsor you and help us reach our fundraising goal of $10,000 to support the important work of the Valley AIDS Council and to show our RGV Pride as we collectively run/walk/dance/swim 1,000 miles. INCENTIVES RGV PRIDE MEDALS FOR ALL REGISTRANTS Every participant will receive a medal and bib available for in-person pick up at our RGV Pride Conference on June 26, 2021, from 9am to 4pm at the Harlingen Convention Center, 701 Harlingen Heights Dr, Harlingen, TX 78552. Out of town registrants can have their medals mailed to them. RAISE MONEY FOR VAC & GET RGV PRIDE T-SHIRT Every participant who raises at least $40 in peer to peer fundraising will get an RGV Pride T-shirt. That's only two sponsors at $20 each or 8 sponsors at $5 each! And all of the money raised goes to support Valley AIDS Council. T-shirts will be mailed to everyone who met their fundraising goal at the completion of the virtual run. MAKE IT A FUN & PRIDE FILLED RUN
