My Appeal
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp has been a home away from home for our family and for Brady. With his medical needs and ongoing treatments, there is no other place in the world we could safely send Brady for time to "raise a little hell" each summer. Paul Newman's vision has certainly impacted our family in a positive way through Family Weekends, Summer Camp, CampOut, Hospital Outreach at Boston Children's Hospital, and Parent Programs. In a world where families who have children with chronic illness may feel alone, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp breaks down those walls.
As a family, we will spend the next month walking together, sharing our memories of camp together, and raising our own little hell all in honor of the Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and Paul Newman. Your contribution goes directly to the camp programs that are still running virtually and in the future when they can be provided directly. Our family thanks you for your support. The Mission: The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families, free of charge. We are a community that celebrates the spirit of childhood, the sound of laughter and the feeling of endless possibility.
About the Organization: Founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp provides “a different kind of healing” to more than 20,000 seriously ill children and family members annually – all completely free of charge. For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in more than 35 hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and mid-Atlantic.
