My Appeal
Donations to NOMV go toward our programs including: our large peer support network that seeks to reduce isolation, provide personal support from caring and understanding peers, and allow for crisis intervention when needed; our educational program providing leadership focused on wellness with trainers who speak at conferences, events, and webinars, bringing a message of hope to their peers; our support grant program providing immediate financial support to help veterinarians, support staff, and students in financial crisis, thus reducing their emotional stress; our work with the University of Tennessee and Auburn University to develop a revolutionary online crisis support system specifically designed for veterinary professionals; and research to further the advancement of wellness, mental health, and the reduction of suicide in veterinarians, helping to bring a better future to all in the profession.

I worry so much about vets, with the severe illnesses my fur babies have had in the past. The dedication of Minni's & London's vets and the techs, calling me at any time during the night or early morning, were unmistakable indicators that these amazing people cared for the lives of my little ones as much as I did. They felt every setback and gain as much as I did, and... well, I've lost both of my sick little girls now, who had WONDERFUL lives thanks to their vets, but I'm still deeply affected by the trauma we went through together. Their vets, though? Their vets are still facing situations like my little girls every day, and I know not all families are as understanding or equipped as ours to handle those stresses. I try to help as much as I can with positive reminders and feedback and donations. I'm glad this organization exists; I didn't know about it, and I hope my contribution helps an amazing person who gives so much daily realize how much their very existence means to me, random person on the internet.
