As the Director of Digital Engagement for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) and an Air Force veteran, I know first hand the challenges that America's veteran community is facing as well as what IAVA is doing to help veterans overcome those challenges. IAVA has led the fight for all veterans since 2004 and we need your financial help to continue providing immediate support and lasting systemic change to ensure they receive the benefits they have earned. The Mission: IAVA’s mission is to connect, unite, and empower the post-9/11 generation of veterans.
About the Organization: IAVA is the non-partisan leader in advocacy, public awareness and peer-to-peer veteran assistance fighting on behalf of veterans to ensure they get the support they need and the benefits they earned. By engaging the government and the public and increasing awareness around veterans issues, IAVA gives voice to post-9/11 veterans. Regularly featured in print, television and online, IAVA provides reactions and analysis, keeping America informed of the issues facing our community. IAVA works directly with veterans and their family members to ensure that every veteran, regardless of era, location, or discharge status, has the opportunity to get the help necessary to survive and thrive. IAVA’s Quick Reaction Force provides confidential 24/7 peer to peer support, comprehensive care management and resource connections making sure that every veteran has a place to turn when in need.
