My Appeal
I had the pleasure to spend 11 summers working in Camp HASC, working as a counselor, in the kitchen, as Division Head and finally as DiRECtor of the RECreational Program. I met my wife, Lisa, in camp, my daughter Talya was born and named in camp (she was actually born in a hospital but we came from and returned to camp), and we raised our girls in camp. Some of our greatest memories come from camp, I worked with some of the best colleagues and bosses I've ever had in camp, and in many ways I learned to lead in camp. As much as Camp HASC does amazing things for its campers, not staff member or staff kid goes to camp without being impacted for the rest of their lives. Camp HASC truly is not only the Happiest Place on Earth, it is also a place where Lives are Changed and Miracles Happen!

The Mission: Camp HASC provides over 350 children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities an unforgettable summer experience. Camp HASC serves the social, therapeutic, academic, recreational and medical needs of all its campers with a positive, ‘person first’ approach to care.
About the Organization: For more than forty years, Camp HASC has served the Jewish community as the premier summer program for children and adults with special needs, intellectual and physical disabilities. Camp HASC is unique in its ability to meet the complex personal, social, therapeutic and medical needs of our very special campers, who enjoy a seven week sleep-away camp experience, just like many of their siblings and friends.
