My Cause
The Mission: To prevent child sexual abuse through education and awareness, and help survivors heal with guidance and support.
About the Organization: For 15 years, Lauren’s Kids has operated as an official 501(c)(3) educating adults and children about sexual abuse prevention through in-school curriculum, resources for families, EMMY and ADDY Award-winning awareness campaigns, and speaking engagements around the country and the world. The foundation’s Safer, Smarter Schools K-12 curriculum program (SaferSmarterKids.org) is currently used in classrooms in 39 states to teach children about personal safety.

For nearly a decade, Lauren lead the organization’s annual statewide “Walk in My Shoes” awareness walk across the state of Florida – 1,500 miles from Key West to Tallahassee (https://bit.ly/3mO5gLc). Since 2018, Lauren and the foundation have brought their trek to the rotunda of the Florida Capitol, walking non-stop over 42+ hours to honor the 42 million survivors of child sexual abuse living in the U.S. today (https://bit.ly/3ZJAnX3). Now, walkers can join the movement from ANYWHERE by participating in the 42 Miles walk challenge!

The Foundation provides more than 10 million education and awareness materials statewide through direct mail each year, and has helped advocate for the passage of more than two dozen laws to support survivors and protect children from predators. The ultimate goal is to prevent sexual abuse through education and awareness, and to help survivors heal with guidance and support. Prevention IS possible, and healing DOES happen!
