The Mission:
The Adoption Center creates permanent environments for children in foster care through public awareness, advocacy and family finding.
About the Organization:
The Adoption Center is a Philadelphia based nonprofit dedicated to creating permanent environments for children in foster care. We work with children who have been in foster care the longest, including teens, children with developmental and physical disabilities, and sibling groups trying to stay together.
The Center has a strong commitment to helping children find and remain in permanent homes and provides outreach activities, programs, and services that aim to reduce the amount of time children spend in foster care and to make the adoption process, at all stages, easier for families.
The Center was founded in 1972 and since then has helped to create more than 25,000 families.
