My Appeal
Peppertree Rescue, Inc. is a dog rescue in Albany, NY focused on helping dogs of golden temperament - we take dogs regardless of age, breed, size or health - our focus is finding great dogs great homes.

In 2020 our average cost per dog was over $1000, our adoption fee is just $250. Raising money is crucial to our mission, without your support we could not provide what our dogs need to find their forever homes.

Your money will go to medical expenses, food, transport, and sometimes even training. We do all we can to support our dogs and our adopters.

My Cause
The Mission: The primary purpose of Peppertree Rescue, Inc. is to help find homes for dogs in need which represent the character and temperament commonly associated with Golden Retrievers: friendliness, intelligence and a peaceful, loving nature. We help dogs regardless of age, breed, size or health - our main focus is temperament and finding great dogs great homes.
About the Organization: Peppertree Rescue, Inc. is an all-volunteer not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation dedicated to saving Golden Retrievers and dogs of good temperament that are in shelters, surrendered by their owners or otherwise in need of homes. We work together with other local rescues, shelters, and animal control.

We place our dogs into temporary foster homes where they are socialized, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated for any medical or behavioral conditions which would otherwise limit their adoptability.

Founded in 1999, Peppertree Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation supported completely by donations, adoption fees, and grants. Our all-volunteer, home-based organization guarantees that your donations are completely focused on saving dogs.

Any dog, of whatever breed or mix, that exhibits the character and temperament commonly associated with a Golden Retriever temperament – friendliness, intelligence, and a peaceful, loving nature – can qualify for our program.
