My Appeal
Tuesday 10 Septemer is World Suicide Prevention Day. As an employee at Orygen, the National Centre of Exellence in Youth Mental Health, I'm aware of the enormous impact suicide has on the world. 1 person every 40 seconds dies by suicide and for each death, approximately 135 people experience severe grief. We can - and must - do something about it. Ride with me around the beautiful Nillumbik Green Wedge to raise awareness and funds to tackle the issue.

My Cause
The Mission:
IASP is dedicated to:
- preventing suicidal behaviour,
- alleviating its effects, and
- providing a forum for academics, mental health professionals, crisis workers, volunteers and suicide survivors.
About the Organization: The International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) leads the global effort in suicide prevention having developed an effective forum that is proactive in creating strong collaborative partnerships and promoting evidence-based action in order to reduce the incidence of suicide and suicidal behaviour.
