My Appeal
Hi all - I'm raising money for St. Louis Shakespeare today. St. Louis Shakespeare has been around since 1984, and produces classical theater and also parodies based on pop-culture. They have student matinees for their Shakespearean productions which greatly assist area teachers with their curriculum. The pandemic has stretched their resources, and audiences haven't yet reached pre-pandemic levels. Please donate and help them reach their goals for 2023!
My Cause
The Mission:
St. Louis Shakespeare was founded in 1984 to professionally produce and perform the plays of Shakespeare and other dramatic classics for the Greater St. Louis Area. In 2015, SLS performed Blood Reigns (an original adaptation of the Henry VI trilogy specifically written for our 30th anniversary). When this production concluded, SLS became one of only seven professional companies nation-wide to have produced Shakespeare’s entire canon. This monumental achievement garnered regional and national attention for SLS.
About the Organization:
St. Louis Shakespeare produces at least two Shakespearean plays each year, with additional matinees for students during the weekday to assist teachers with their curriculum. In addition the Magic Smoking Monkey Theatre produces two plays each year which are based on pop-culture, such as "Jurassic Park, The Musical", and "It's a Marvelous Life", which uses Marvel characters to tell the famous story of It's a Wonderful Life.
