My Appeal
Since Connor's AHC diagnosis at 8 weeks old, our world doesn't look like we thought it would. A diagnosis of a rare disease in your child involves a level of grief and doubt that should never be associated with the miracle of a new baby. The AHC Foundation offered a community of support and understanding that we desperately needed at that time. As the years pass we continue to rely on the network and guidance available from the Foundation, especially as we navigate the unknown of AHC. Our family chooses to continue to support the AHCF because we know first-hand how the scarcity of information and the terror of the unknown can make a devastating situation unbearable for a family living with AHC. As research grows more promising towards a cure in the near future and the spread of awareness offers a future for children with early diagnoses we hope you'll join us in continuing to support the mission of the AHCF: END AHC. Please donate today.

My Cause
The Mission: To find the cause(s) of AHC, develop effective treatments and ultimately find a cure, while providing support to the families and children with AHC by funding research to accomplish these goals.
About the Organization: The Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation provides opportunities for collaboration, the latest in AHC literature and research education, and resources to empower AHC families and healthcare professionals as they care for individuals with AHC. Using $.90 of every $1.00 donated, the foundation funds crucial research with leading geneticists, neurologists, and other scientists worldwide with the hopes of finding a cure. It also proudly supports families in their greatest time of need, offering a community and understanding from individuals who share the unique burden of a life impacted by AHC. The Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization (EIN 38-3225425).
