The Mission: Mums4Mums Volunteers believe it is the right for every baby born, and their mother to receive the best care possible.

About the Organization: Mums4Mums began as a grassroots community initiative nearly four years ago, and today, we proudly provide vital support to mums and pepi (babies) across New Zealand, regardless of their immigration status. Our mission is simple but powerful—connecting loving, experienced, police-vetted volunteers with mums in their communities to offer practical, emotional, and social support.
We are honored to be the 2024 Western Bay Community Awards "Heart of the Community" recipients, a recognition of the profound impact we’ve made. Our services help mothers and their babies, up to 24 months old, navigate the challenges of early parenthood, ensuring the best possible outcomes for both. We have expanded our , with locations in Tauranga Whakatane, and Rotorua.
Our referrals come from trusted sources, including Te Whatu Ora, Plunket, Pepi Ora, Poutiri Wellness Centre, midwives, Maternal Mental Health, GPs, and counsellors.
