ABOUT SPRING FITNESS FOR HOPE CAMPAIGN
PROJECT HOPE BOSTON
Project Hope works in partnership with women and families in the Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston to help them move up and out of poverty. We do this by being a catalyst for change in the lives of families, developing and providing programs and family support solutions to alleviate poverty and homelessness, and lead to improved economic, social and health outcomes for the community.

How it works:
Register as an individual, create your own team or join a team from anywhere in the world and watch as all our steps, miles and pledges add up while simultaneously losing those pounds we gained during isolation. Any kind of exercise and physical activity counts!This fitness campaign is 35 days long (March 22nd – April 26th 2021). During that time, you and your team members will set a goal for the amount of miles you would like to complete and a minimum of $1,000 per team. You will have your own fundraiser page with a link to send to friends to encourage them to donate to your team's efforts.
STEP 1: REGISTER and set up your account anytime between now and March 22nd . Once you register, you will have your own web page that will track your team’s combined distance and funds you raise together.Registration: $25/participant (proceeds go toward your overall fundraising goal) - note: free entries for sponsors and teams.
STEP 2: RECRUIT team members from anywhere in the world to join you. Decide together on your goals for distance and fundraising.
STEP 3: TRACK your steps/miles from March 22nd-April 26th 2021
There are three ways to track your progress:
--Download the free Charity Footprints App
--Sync your fitness device (Fitbit, Apple Watch, Garmin, Google Fit, Misfit, Strava) or use the health app on your iphone
--Manually enter your miles on your event page
Please use this step conversion chart below to calculate your steps/miles and log your activity!
*Note: 2,000 steps = 1 mile
STEP 4: SHARE your team fundraising page with others so they can support you through donations. Post the link to your web page on social media or send it in a text to friends and family.
How Your Participation Helps
$50 Gives a grocery gift card to a family coping with food insecurity
$100 Helps cover a family’s utility bill next month
$150 Provides a new Chromebook for an adult education student
$350 Covers one mother’s childcare expenses a month
$500 Cleans and sanitizes our Family Shelter for two weeks
