National Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives. Now in its 31st year, Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by those living in recovery. Mary Hall Freedom Village, (MHFV) is proud to Join the Voices for Recovery in Celebrating Connections. This year we celebrate the gains made by those in recovery, improvements made by those who are managing other health conditions, and recognize the dedication of service providers and community members across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible. MHFV realizes it takes a network of friends, family, volunteers, staff, participants and the community at large to promote and support the recovery journey and ensure a better future without stigma and discrimination for those in active recovery and those who still suffer. Join us for Freedom Steps IV – Celebrating Connections, a 30-day virtual walk across Georgia held September 25 – October 25 to collectively honor our connections and support Recovery in all its forms.
