Walking away. Last day of the walk. Mid— Summer Reading Program. Wheeee! As a retired librarian it was always a great joy to promote reading. Lastly, as a new hospice volunteer I look forward to the important service I will bring to the community. Especially dear now knowing that one of the County’s hospices will cease in the coming days.

On May 29 I dedicated my walk to my mother. It was (would have been) her 99th birthday. Reminiscing on the time she was a pharmacist for Thrifty Drug Stores in the 1960s-70s. In the foto is a nickel cone IYKYK. Her fav color was orange. In the twenty-teens the Shool of PharmSC (USC) acknowledged her FIFTY years in the profession.
