ABOUT HELP BUILD CARTIE CAMPAIGN
This November and December, get moving and help us #GetTheMuseumMobile! Every step you take (be it on a run, walk, swim, bike, yoga mat, or in any fitness class) helps make the art museum experience mobile for Connecticut’s 109,068 K-2 students.

About cARTie Campaign
We know the early years of elementary school lay and solidify the foundation for students' futures. Studies show that positive and prolonged early museum-based learning holds potential to nurture critical and creative thinkers who may be more motivated to engage with the arts and inspire social change in their communities. Unfortunately, most students do not have access to these kinds of museum exposures. In an environment of social distancing, ever-shrinking school budgets, and high stakes testing, museum field trips are infeasible.
Meet cARTie
cARTie is Connecticut’s newest (and only!) 501(c)3 organization devoted to bringing positive and prolonged early museum experiences to Connecticut’s youth, thereby bridging inequities in education and arts access across the state. cARTie works by featuring art by self-motivated high school arts students in a mobile museum and sharing that art in highly participatory and interactive ways with K-2 schools from across the state, especially those that lack access to the arts.
Help us build cARTie
Our goal is to have cARTie on the road by the Fall of 2021. Of course, underlying cARTie’s plans of retrofitting a school bus to make the art museum experience mobile, are significant start-up expenses, totaling $38,850.
We have a lot of work to do and need your help to get moving and #GetTheMuseumMobile.
Participate today
Unlike a traditional walk/run/bike fundraising race, cARTie’s Virtual #GetTheMuseumMobile Race uses technology and takes social distancing into account; allowing you to participate on your own, with a friend, work mates or your whole family, showing your support whenever and wherever you are day or night; rain or shine; inside or outside. The choice is yours! Register today and get moving, knowing you are raising vital funds to #GetTheMuseumMobile.
You don't walk, run or bike to stay active? No problem. Maybe you golf, swim, spin, workout, dance, hike, row, box or even do house or yard work. That's great! The more you move, the more possible we make positive and prolonged early museum experiences for Connecticut’s 109,068 K-2 students.
Want to do more? Ask your friends and family to support you in cARTie’s Virtual #GetTheMuseumMobile Race by donating and pledging. The more funds you donate, raise, and have pledged (in addition to your registration donation), the more we #GetTheMuseumMobile!
Want to simply donate? You can do that too! Any amount at any time between now and December 13, 2020.
