We really recommend the Dungeness Spit hike -- a little something of everything! A half a mile hike in the forest in the background led down to the spit. Plenty of neat sounds and sights along the spit -- from the rock tumbling sounds as the waves did their work, to the piles of driftwood and unique birds, to the picturesque mountains on the hike back. Neat!

Dungeness Spit hike along the sandbar!
Team Puffy Robin takes on a neat hike along a spit on the Peninsula (Sequim/Port Angeles area). If you look really hard, there's a lighthouse there in the photo under Mt. Baker. The spit grows 13 inches a year due to tide dynamics! Interesting.
