ABOUT STEPS FOR WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH: MAKE HISTORY WITH NPWH CAMPAIGN
We are inviting you to join the Take Steps for Women’s History Month and Make History with NPWH. One of our priorities as your professional association is to support the publishing of WHNP practice outcomes and strengthen the position of WHNPs. We are holding this steps challenge to raise money to support grants for WHNPs to do this research.
This is a fabulous opportunity for some self-care and to support your colleagues in women’s and gender-related healthcare. The goal is to walk 5,000 steps a day approximately 2 miles a day. This can be in one swoop or throughout the day in any way or format. Walking 5,000 steps a day has many benefits including:
- Improved cardiovascular health
- Bone strength
- Boosted immune function
- Improve your mood
- Improves digestion
- Joint health
- Reduced risk of certain cancers
- Weight loss
- Better sleep
You may also create teams to help challenge yourself and help us raise even more money. The highest grossing individual or team will win NPWH Swag prizes. Every person who registers will receive a Steps Challenge sticker for your computer.
