My Appeal
I adopted Johnny Thunders from HSTT and bringing him home improved my life dramatically. Along the way he and I have covered countless miles on trails and roads and his confidence has grown exponentially. During the pandemic we've fostered a couple dogs and maintained the typical two walks per day routine, but JT and I need an incentive for more activity. That's why I signed up to motivate myself and others to get out there and walk, run or do other rewarding physical activities for a cause. Simply helping raise awareness about the benefits of fostering will save lives and change them for the better. The Mission: The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe (HSTT) is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through adoption, community spay/neuter and humane education programs.
About the Organization:
Founded in 1994 by a group of committed volunteers, the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe has become the driving force in animal rescue and adoption for the Truckee region.
Over time, we have grown from a small grass roots entity to a nationally recognized non-profit organization with ten employees and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
