Christel House Schools transforms the lives of impoverished children, breaking the cycle of poverty and building self-sufficient, contributing members of society. Robust K-12 education and a strong character development program are complemented with regular health care, nutritious meals, guidance counseling, career planning, family assistance and college & careers support for 5 years post-graduation.
Christel House Schools operates multiple charter schools in the City of Indianapolis, under the authorization of the Indiana Charter School Board. We provide exciting, active, and meaningful learning to transform students to intelligent, poised, and thoughtful individuals.
Every dollar donated goes toward the Christel House Schools mission / programming. Because of Christel DeHaan's generosity, administrative expenses are covered into perpetuity..

About the Organization:
Christel House is a holistic model designed to transform the lives of children experiencing poverty. We do this by focusing on the “whole child.” We don’t just educate, or feed, or provide health care—we do all these things—from early childhood through early adulthood. We develop the total child.
Since Christel House’s founding 25 years ago, 19,385 students have been served at nine schools around the world in India, Jamaica, Mexico, South Africa, and the United States. Christel House gives students who need the most help the best chance.
