About #GetFit4Transplants Virtual Run & Fitness Campaign
The AST Virtual Run and Fitness Challenge is a virtual fitness challenge to connect the entire AST community around the country, get some exercise, and raise critical funds for the American Society of Transplantation research efforts. The challenge kicks off during the Cutting Edge of Transplantation Meeting starting on Thursday, February 25th and ends on Friday, May 21st.
Who can join?
We are looking for members of our community to lead teams and recruit friends, colleagues, and family to participate to help raise money and awareness for AST. Corporate teams are welcome. This is a great way to achieve your health goals as a team while staying safe and socially distanced!
Unlike a traditional race, the AST Virtual Run and Fitness Challenge takes place where you are and when you want, anytime between February 25 and May 21, 2021.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 and complete 39,035 miles - one for every transplant in 2020.

STEP ONE: Join the race by clicking on any "Register" button on this page.
STEP TWO: Tell everyone about it! Invite your colleagues, family, and friends to join you, join a created team, or make a donation. Every dollar raised directly supports AST’s research efforts, and it's a great way to promote the program that means the most to you – you'll be a part of the AST community! Don't forget to hashtag #GetFit4Transplants and tag @AST_info
STEP THREE: Participate in the Health Challenge! Walk or run the 'race' distance of 5K/3 miles (or set your own goal). You can also check out the Activity Conversion Chart to see other ways that you can participate. There are three ways to track your progress:
1 - Download the free Charity Footprints app to track your progress.
2 - Manually enter your steps on your event page. Race anywhere, anytime, and enter your stats before end-of-day May 21.
STEP FOUR: Share your personal fundraising page with your personal circle and ask them to join you or make a contribution to support the Society and help you reach your personal goals.
