ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Building better leaders who will build a better world
Legacy Youth Leadership provides free leadership and mentoring programs to high school students across Los Angeles County and beyond. Our programs combine instruction, mentorship, and real-world application to help students develop essential skills in communication, financial literacy, civic engagement, and time management.
Through in-school workshops, mentorship programs, and national campaigns, Legacy empowers students to take action on issues that matter to them—from mental health to climate change—while building confidence and leadership abilities that translate into college, careers, and community impact.
Each year, Legacy serves thousands of students—primarily from low-income communities—helping them overcome barriers and become active agents of change in their schools and communities.
Our Mission
Legacy Youth Leadership (“Legacy”) is an education nonprofit organization that is building better leaders who will build a better world. Legacy knows that young people are not just the future, they are the present. Legacy runs free youth leadership and mentoring programs in low-income school communities that teach students how to use their time, their money, and their voice so they can be leaders TODAY. We prioritize making our programs available to students living in low-income & underserved communities. Legacy’s Programs develop, mentor, and equip young people with the skills & experience they need to reach their academic goals, make a REAL impact on the world around them, and thrive.
