The Military Women’s Memorial, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, is the leading memorial and education center and the only historical repository documenting all military women’s service to the nation.
Located at the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery, the focus of the Memorial is to educate and inspire through innovative and interactive exhibitions, world-class collections, engaging programs, and events for all generations.
The Memorial honors the commitment, contributions, and experiences of every woman, past and present, who serves in or with the Armed Forces, and inspires future generations of leaders, trailblazers, and changemakers. The year 2022 commemorates twenty-five years since the Military Women’s Memorial was dedicated and opened to the public on October 18, 1997. The Memorial is still America’s only major memorial to honor and tell the stories of all of the nation’s women who have served in and with our military, beginning with the American Revolution.

The Military Women’s Memorial 25th Anniversary Challenge brings together members, supporters, friends, family and partners in a collaborative journey in celebration of a major milestone – 25 years of honoring and telling the stories of America’s Servicewomen, past and present – by connecting with our community, being active together, and having fun with some friendly competition over a 25-day countdown to the Military Women’s Memorial 25th Anniversary.

MWM's Goal With Charity Footprints
The team at Charity Footprints has extensive knowledge on how to manage successful virtual events. From the first communications, they have been very helpful, from explaining the options to walking us through the process. We were impressed with other events they have developed. We are grateful to work with a team focused on helping nonprofit organizations build community through virtual races/challenges.
For the past 25 years, the Military Women’s Memorial community has been steadfast champions and supporters of the Memorial. With this challenge we look forward to coming together to celebrate this milestone 25th anniversary and raising awareness of the Memorial and its mission of honoring and telling the stories of service and contributions of Servicewomen, past and present, to our nation. We look to this challenge as a way for new and longstanding members and friends to show their support and share the importance and significance of the Memorial with others, ensuring its vital mission is enduring and inspiring the next generation of trailblazers, leaders, changemakers, and champions.
